The Montgomery GI Bill
(Chapter 30)
Helps veterans who served at least 2 years on active duty pay for education and training programs. MGIB pays qualifying Veterans a monthly rate for perusing an approved degree. The veteran is responsible for paying the Institution they are attending.
Veteran Readiness and Employment
(Chapter 31)
Veterans with a service-connected disability that limits their ability to work or prevents them from working, Veteran Readiness and Employment can help. This program helps Veterans explore employment options and address education or training needs.
Post 9/11 GI Bill
(Chapter 33)
Helps Veterans, who served on active duty after September 10, 2001, pay for school or cover expenses while training for a job. The Post 9/11 GI Bill pays students a Monthly Housing Allowance (based on schools location) and a stipend for books. They also pay schools directly for the reported Tuition.
